- I will not be reading this but my daughter who often volunteers as a nurse in Haiti was very interested.I decided to give it to her as a gift before her next trip there.I think she will be very pleased!
- As a somewhat experienced paramedic,I am pretty familiar with improvising using what is available to me.This book takes this concept to another level in a manner that is very much like the "Where There Is No ......"series.It leaves me wanting in a few areas,but I feel it is an excellent overview.Certainly a must read for anyone interested in austere medicine!
- Ever think about what happen if you do not have hydration sachet in an emergency. They teach you how to make one. Ever think of using ketamine as anesthetic. This book tells you how. It is expensive but worth every penny.
